Jason Frost

Jason Frost runs Absolutely Scooters from Unit A, Graham House, Bardwell Road, Sheffield. He has been on scooters since 1982. There was a Vespa in the early days — which he still gets stick for — but he has been a Lambretta man through and through for the last forty years. Custom builds, fabrication, engine work and paint — one-off machines, not a parts counter.

The shop opened in 1995 and has been on the Sheffield scene since then. The old site described how a job is done: frame stripped and strengthened at the stand supports and outriggers, extra brackets for electronic ignition where needed, powder coat to keep rust out, then rebuild. Engines get new high-load bearings, crank, seals and clutch. Forks are rebuilt with new bushes. That work is still what the workshop does; the archive galleries on this site are machines that came through the shop.

Jason rides with WideBoys Lambretta Club, Sheffield. The club house is in the same building as the shop — Unit WB, Graham House, Bardwell Road. Most Saturdays there is a club meet at the shop. Check the WideBoys Facebook page before you turn up in case that week is a ride-out instead.
